Have you ever wondered why as we get older the years seem to fly by faster and faster? Well, I have a simple solution for this…

Years ago when I was a youth pastor in Michigan, one of my students, Eric K., shared this theory with me, and it just makes sense. So, I thought I’d share it with you and see if any of you would agree.

- when you’re born, one year equals 100% of your life
- when you turn two, one year equals 50% of your life
- when you turn three, one year equals 33% of your life
- when you turn four, one year equals 25% of your life

- when you turn ten, one year equals 10% of your life
- when you turn twenty, one year equals 5% of your life
- when you turn thirty, one year equals 3% of your life
- when you turn forty, one year equals 2.5% of your life
- when you turn fifty, one year equals 2% of your life

Makes sense doesn’t it???

Not sure if it’s realistic, but mathematically it sure makes sense as to why the years just seem to fly by the older we get.

What are your thoughts?
